About us General information about Höryda Farm The main building itself was built at the turn of the 19th century. The old oak timber and broad deal wooden floor speaks for itself as testament to this. The farm is situated in the middle of nature, close to the forest. Where you can walk mile after mile without seeing a soul. If you are in luck, you might see an elk, the largest species in the deer family, out in the marshland area, or hear roebuck viciously claim their territory. At Lake Hornborgasjön there is rich bird life, the famous bird lake is only 5 km away. Höryda Farm’s land is known to be owl area. Here you can hear the Tawny Owl’s explosive call or the more lonely hoot. At the parkway that leads up to the farm you might run into both the green and black woodpecker that nest up in the old trees. The farm has an ecological crop production. Steer and nursing cows graze in the meadows from May until the end of October. They keep the meadows open and supply the necessary nutrition to the soil and growth together with high a quality of meat. Inside the barn there are a couple cats that help in keeping it mice and rat free. Brygghuset Brygghuset or The Brewhouse was once a typical Västgötish laundry house. The water and washing are still in the centre but these days the house is gently renovated. Each and every small detail has been heeded to giving space and power to its spirit. Here a pleasant tranquillity reigns, close to nature and far from every day life and its usual stress. The Brewhouse is a conference and meeting place for you who wish to be undisturbed in a spacious facility and is an ideal place for smaller working groups to meet. You may chose to finish the day off with a steam in our wood-heated sauna. In the peacful warmth, stiff office muscles start to loosen and regain their resilience while your thoughts are cleared. Our outdoor hot tub, also heated with firewood, is an experience in itself. Despite the cold winter nights you are not cold at all when you slip in to the 37 degree water. A true pleasure that in all its simplicity offers a moment of reflection in life. We do not have to point out the importance of rewarding your co-workers for you. People that feel visible and acknowledged, as you know, strengthen companies and improve work satisfaction. The Wash House is also a place for you and your nearest and dearest to gather and celebrate, for whatever reason it might be. Solemn occasions, a hen or stag party or just ordinary gatherings. Enjoy the food that is made with knowledge and care for your wellbeing. At the Brewhouse you will enjoy the solitude in the best way ― together Grill cabin The Grill Cabin The Grill Cabin is beautifully situated by the forest edge on the meadow where birch, oaks and juniper bushes share the same living space. Here there is room for 10-12 persons around the fireplace. You can also savour your conference lunch in connection to taking a walk in the wood. You can also choose to rent the Grill Cabin for one night and have a barbeque together with your friends. Lots of opportunities. The Old Warehouse The Old Warehouse An old ryehouse, it is rebuilt into three lovely bedrooms, with one kitchen, dining and serving area with an open fireplace. Road description Höryda Farm is situated in Västergötland between the large lakes Vänern and Vättern in the village of Härlunda. Along the road 184 between Falköping and Skara. Drive road 184 from Skara towards Falköping 9km. Turn off the road at signs towards Bjärklunda kyrka and Höryda Gård. Right at the church, follow the sign Höryda gård again.
